Certification of Seed Crops

Seed certification is compulsory for notified varieties which is carried out through crop inspection and seed testing. The genetic purity of the notified varieties of the seed crop is ascertained through crop inspection and the physical purity of the seed lot is checked through seed analysis in the laboratories. In Pakistan, all most, the same seed generation system is practiced as by International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) and Organization for European Community Development (OECD) member countries.
